Lets chat about your bridal party! I know from experience that all brides want their closest friends to have an AMAZING time during their big day and we will make sure that happens! Bridal party portraits should be a ton of FUN!
If you and your groom are sharing a first look, your bridal party will join us right after we capture images of the two of you sharing your moment together. If bridal party portraits are happening after the ceremony, we’ll try to get the group photos done as soon as possible so your bridal party can be free to mingle at cocktail hour if they wish! If there are flower girls and ring bearers involved, we find it easiest to include them in a bridal party group shot right after the ceremony or during bridal portraits taken after the first look.
Be sure your groomsmen arrive with boutonnieres and your bridesmaids arrive with bouquets!
When it comes time to select bridal party attire, my biggest piece of advice would be to shop around. Bridal boutiques will always have options but we have seen bridesmaids wear amazing dresses from everyday stores such as Anthropologie, Aritzia, JCrew, and Nordstrom. Also, if you come across a sale, it can actually be more economical for the guys to buy suits rather than spend the money to rent one just for one day!
It always looks more comfortable and natural when bridesmaids wear a dress that is complimentary to their individual shape. You can still have a cohesive look through colour selection. For the guys, one of the biggest oversights we see if when the shoe/belt colour is left to the individual to decide. It’s best that you choose whether the guys will all wear brown/black or other accents.
